During the difficult days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dharmniketan Education Trust extended heartfelt support to the community through various humanitarian efforts. One such vital initiative was the free distribution of “Ukala”—a traditional immunity-boosting drink—provided continuously for six months.
Recognizing the importance of health and immunity during the pandemic, the Trust arranged for daily preparation and distribution of Ukala, made with milk, turmeric, ginger, cardamom, and other Ayurvedic herbs. This warm, nutritious drink was distributed free of cost to people from all walks of life—especially senior citizens, frontline workers, underprivileged families, and those recovering from illness.

Volunteers and staff ensured hygienic preparation, packaging, and safe doorstep delivery, following all COVID safety protocols. The initiative not only helped boost physical immunity but also gave mental strength and emotional relief to many during those trying times.
Over the six-month period, thousands of cups of Ukala were served across the area, reflecting the Trust’s commitment to community health and well-being. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing heartfelt gratitude for the Trust’s timely and consistent care.
